The UK government plans to send asylum seekers who arrive in the UK on small boats to live in Rwanda.
Charities and politicians call such plans ‘absolutely chilling’ and ‘cruel and nasty’.
Questions have been raised over costs, impact and Rwanda’s human rights record as the government faces fierce criticism for its policies.

Boris Johnson, UK’s prime minister, however said the £120m pilot scheme would “save countless lives”. He also added that it would break the business model of “vile people smugglers”.
the government has announced many measures to tackle small boat crossing and the scheme is only one of such measures. Other such measures include proposals to hand official control of the Channel to the navy.
Enver Solomon, chief executive of the Refugee Council, while criticizing the plans of Rwanda asylum seekers said the charity was “appalled by the government’s cruel and nasty decision” that would “do little” to deter people from coming to the UK.
