The UK government has sanctioned two Russian billionaires tied to billionaire Roman Abramovich.

Mr Abramovich’s longtime business partners, Chelsea FC director Eugene Tenenbaum and David Davidovich, control the club. The assets of the couple have been frozen. With a combined value of up to £10 billion. It was the greatest asset freeze in UK history, according to Foreign Secretary Liz Truss. They join a long list of those sanctioned in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which includes Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two adult daughters, their financial assets will not be sent back to Russia as a result of this.
