Kyiv: Polish President Andrzej Duda referred to the conflict in Ukraine as “terrorism,” on Wednesday, saying that those who committed crimes should be held accountable, as well as those who gave the orders.
“This is not war, this is terrorism,” Duda said at a press conference while in Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of the Baltic states.
He’d previously been to Bucha, a town outside of Kyiv where the discovery of dead civilians following the withdrawal of Russian forces sparked outrage around the world.
Claims that Russian soldiers committed war crimes have been dismissed as fabricated by Russia.
