The National Weather Service issued the watch for 27 counties in North and Central Texas. In Rockwall, Kaufman, and Hunt counties, the watch had ended by 7:30 p.m. The watch runs out at 11 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning for Dallas-Fort Worth expired around 7:30 p.m. The alerts came just before thunderstorms hit the area around 2 p.m. The storms are expected to move east through the evening.
Severe weather is expected from Paris to Killeen and from Palestine to Cisco, including Dallas-Fort Worth. Large hail, strong winds, and even tornadoes are possible.
