On Wednesday morning, storms blew across sections of Oklahoma, leaving behind some damage in Stilwell. Crews are now dealing with a semi-truck accident at 2nd Street and Oklahoma 51.
Adair County has been placed under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning. By way of the National Weather Service, this storm is now six miles south of Lincoln and traveling east at 45 mph.
According to the NWS, this storm has the potential to bring wind gusts of 60 mph and hail the size of a penny. On Wednesday morning, sections of the state will be hit by showers and thunderstorms.
For Adair, Cherokee, Mayes, Muskogee, Wagoner, and Delaware counties, the NWS has issued a Flood Advisory until noon on Wednesday; for McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, and Wagoner counties, the NWS has issued a Flood Advisory until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Doppler radar data from the NWS shows that thunderstorms are dumping heavy rain, which might lead to minor flooding in the region’s low-lying regions.
There is also a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for McIntosh and Muskogee counties through 8:45 a.m. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts wind gusts of 60 mph and hail up to the size of a quarter from this storm.
