Walker Scobell Will Play the Title Character in Disney’s ‘Percy Jackson’ Series

Disney+ has tracked down its Percy Jackson.

Walker Scobell (The Adam Project) has handled the lead spot in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a series transformation of creator Rick Riordan’s smash hit books. Riordan, a chief maker of the series, declared the news Monday morning on his site.

“Walker Scobell is an inconceivably gifted young fellow who blew us away with his tryout tapes for the job of Percy,” Riordan composed. “Large numbers of you as of late found how extraordinary Walker is the point at which you watched his film The Adam Project, in which Walker illuminated the screen as a more youthful rendition of Ryan Reynolds’ personality.

Disney+ provided a progression request to Percy Jackson and the Olympians in January. The series follows a 12-year-old kid (Scobell) who learns he is a diving being.
