Shehbaz Sharif was administered the oath of Prime Minister of Pakistan by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani in a ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.

In a Twitter statement, the President House said, “President Dr. Arif Alvi has complained of discomfort. The physician has examined him thoroughly and has advised him rest for a few days.”
All coalition partners including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, MQM leader Ameenul Haq, Khalid Magsi, Aleem Khan, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Sharif and other political personalities attended the ceremony.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif has been elected as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced that Shehbaz Sharif secured 174 votes to become the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
NA session was underway to select the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan after ousting former Prime Minister Imran Khan through a no-confidence vote in the wee hours of Sunday.
The Leader of the House was elected through voting that took place in the NA lobby reserved for the purpose.

After the completion of the voting process, the counting took place followed by the announcement of the name by the NA speaker.
It should be noted that 172 votes are required to be elected as Leader of the House in the 342-member House.
