Piers Morgan banged at countries across the globe for not helping Ukraine enough as Russia continues with its attack.
During February when Vladimir Putin took first aim at Ukraine, the former GMB presenter criticized how other world leaders have handled the situation.
On Sunday, he shared another speech by Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. On that, Ukraine’s leader is heard telling 60 Minutes how he felt when countries of the world who didn’t participate in the Second World War “carried responsibility for the genocide”.
Translated video quotes a firm and Zelensky saying: “When you have the ability to close the sky, yes it’s scary that a world war can start. It’s scary I understand that and I cannot put pressure on these people because everyone is afraid of war.
“But whether the world is responsible for this – I believe so, yes. I believe so.”
He added: “Stand in front of the mirror every day and ask yourself were you able to do something or were you unable to do something?
“You will find the answer in the mirror to this question and to another question: Who are you? That’s what I believe.”
Clip was shared by actress Mia Farrow, who questioned: “Do we, in other nations have a moral responsibility to stop Putin?”
It led Piers, 56, to hit out: “He’s right. We are failing our moral duty.”
Meanwhile his comments met with a mixture of responses.
One follower replied: “How many times do people have to say that it’s not as simple as “take down the bad man!”, whether we like it or not Putin has the capacity to make this far worse for everyone whether they’re truly involved or not and that’s not something to mess with.”
Another agreed, told Piers: “Everyone is doing what they can. If you can do better, go!”
