ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted a petition for hearing on Monday (tomorrow), seeking an inquiry into the alleged threat letter regarding involvement of a country in conspiracy against the Pakistan’s government.
The petition was filed by a citizen Molvi Iqbal Haider.
It prayed to the court to place the names of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other PTI leaders including Chaudhary Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Qasim Suri and Asad Majeed on the Exit Control List (ECL) until the decision of the court.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah would take up the case for hearing on April 11.
On April 8, Lieutenant General (Retd) Tariq Khan, who was appointed as a head of a commission by the federal government to investigate alleged lettergate, had excused himself from supervising the commission to probe the matter.
It is relevant to mention here that a letter was written by Pakistan Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan, reportedly pointing towards a plan of regime change in Pakistan through a no-confidence vote.
Family sources had said that Lt Gen (Retd) Tariq Khan would not be able to head the commission due to his personal engagements.
They had further said that Lt Gen (Retd) Tariq Khan had excused himself from heading the commission.
Earlier in the day, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had announced the federal cabinet had formed a commission to investigate the alleged foreign conspiracy behind the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader had told the media that Lieutenant General (retd) Tariq Khan would lead the commission which will probe the alleged “threatening memo.”
