On the first anniversary of her spouse Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip’s death, British Queen Elizabeth II paid a heartfelt homage to him.
To commemorate Prince Philip’s death, Buckingham Palace created a video collage based on vintage pictures of the late Prince.
The video caption read, “The Patriarchs – An Elegy’ by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage Remembering. His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on the first anniversary of his death.”

The Duke of Edinburgh’s death is a huge loss for the 95-year-old monarch, who previously characterised him as her “strength and stay all these years.”
At the age of 96, Philip, who had been by the Queen’s side for nearly eight decades, retired from public life.
It should be noted that, Prince Philip died on April 9, 2021 at age 99.
