Windham, 64, was previously an equerry to the Queen Mother and then Prince Charles.
For the previous 22 years, he had served as chairman of ‘The Castle of Mey’ – The Queen Mother’s Home in Caithness, and for the previous three years, he had served as director of Prince Charles’ philanthropic enterprise.
According to Richard Eden, a spokesman for the Prince’s Foundation, “Ashe Windham has stepped down as a trustee as his term, which was agreed at the outset, came to an end in March.”
