After their heroics in the CWC22 final, Healy, Sciver tops the ODI rankings

After her incredible 170 in the final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022, Alyssa Healy has risen to the top of the ICC ODI Batter Rankings.

The Australian’s brilliant innings propelled her to the top of the rankings, ending the brief reign of South African opener Laura Wolvaardt.

Healy, 32, hit 509 runs in nine matches at the World Cup, including two hundreds and two half-centuries, at a strike rate of 103.66.

Healy finished just ahead of compatriot Rachael Haynes as the tournament’s top scorer with this haul.

In the latest MRF ODI Rankings, four Australians remain in the top six, with Beth Mooney, Meg Lanning, and Haynes joining Healy among the world’s top batters.

And, according to the most recent rankings, the top ten has taken on a completely new look, with no single player remaining in the same position after the tournament.

Nat Sciver’s 148* in England’s not so good reply in the showpiece final on Sunday has vaulted her to second place in the batting rankings.

And the England star’s outstanding performance has propelled her to the top of the all-rounder rankings, surpassing Ellyse Perry.

Sciver’s century in the final was her second of the event, with the English all-rounder amassing 436 runs in eight innings in New Zealand at an average of 72.66.

With her excellent medium pace bowling, the 29-year-old also picked up four wickets while returning economical stats throughout the World Cup.
