Deryck Whibley Says It’s Impossible To Fill Chester Bennington’s Shoes In Linkin Park

Deryck Whibley, the frontman of rock band Sum 41, whiffed away the rumors of him replacing Chester Bennington in Linkin Park. Deryck said, “I think that’s an impossible task; I think those are impossible shoes to fill.”

He further added, “I don’t know if they’re ever gonna do anything. I have no idea what that’s gonna look like or who that could be. That is such a non-possibility that it’s too weird to even, like, sort of ‘joke think’ about it. I don’t know. I don’t know how someone could fill those shoes. I think it would be tough.”

Deryck Whibley had performed the Linkin Park song “Faint” with Mike Shinoda live at the 2018 edition of the Reading and Leeds Festival. This performance ignite the rumours that he might replace late great Chester Bennington as Linkin Park’s vocalist.

Chester Bennington was Linkin Park’s lead vocalist, who left this world on 20 July, 2017. He is considered a legend of rock music. He inspired many artists and fans across the globe.
