WhatsApp introduces a new feature in its audio messaging. The app is implementing modifications to its audio messaging tool that will allow users to pause and resume voice recordings at their leisure.
People will be able to listen to a draught version of their voice messages before sending them thanks to the upgrade.
Users who are listening to audio communications will be able to stop a message and resume listening when they return to the conversation. On the message, they will also see a waveform visualisation of the sound.
Users can now listen to audio messages at 1.5x or 2x speed, on both regular and forwarded messages, thanks to a new feature update.
Users will also be able to listen to a voice message outside of the conversation, allowing them to multitask or read and respond to other messages, according to WhatsApp.
End-to-end encryption protects audio messages transmitted on WhatsApp, keeping them private and secure at all times, according to the Meta-owned company, which added that new features to improve voice messaging will be available in the coming weeks.
