Netizens are disturbed by the usage of a murdered rapper’s body as a prop during a burial ceremony

A memorial service for deceased American rapper Markelle Morrow, also known as Goonew, is being viewed as a spooky occasion after fans were shocked to learn that his body had been used as a prop on stage. Photos and videos from the incident, which took place inside a nightclub in Washington, DC, have gone viral on the internet.

On Sunday, a dance party named “The Last Show” was held at bliss, a club, to honour Goonew, who was died last month after being shot in a District Heights parking lot. People were perplexed by the venue, and many stated they were “feeling nauseous” after realising that his embalmed body was on stage wearing luxury clothing and a crown.

The rapper’s family and friends organised the event as a farewell celebration for him. Several spectators recorded videos on social media of people singing and dancing while the singer’s corpse was on display.

A video showing the scene from the party at the nightclub has gone viral on Twitter garnering over 2 million views.

Many people on social media misidentified the body as a mannequin. When they realised it was the rapper’s body, not a statue, they immediately freaked out—including hip-hop icon 50 Cent. While some felt it was “scary,” the majority believed it was “disgraceful,” claiming that whomever arranged the event needed assistance.

As the outcry intensified, the club stated that they had no idea what the event would involve. “Bliss was contacted by a local funeral home about renting out our facility for Goonew’s burial.” “Bliss was never made aware of what would happen,” the club claimed in an Instagram statement on Monday.
