A MUSICIAN faces life in jail for the death of an 18-year-old girl who was kidnapped from a bus stop on her way to meet her boyfriend.

Bobbi-Anne McLeod was last seen near her Plymouth home in November when she vanished.

Three days later, her corpse was recovered eight kilometres distant in a rural region near renowned Bovisand beach.

Cody Ackland, a 24-year-old local musician who was unknown to the teen, was eventually charged with murder.

The public gallery erupted in applause today when he pleaded guilty to killing Bobbi-Anne between November 20 and November 23.

Donna McLeod, Bobbi-grieving Anne’s mother, sat in tears during the brief session.

Ackland has been told that he will face life in prison when he is sentenced on May 19 at Plymouth Crown Court.

“You have pled guilty to murder, and the penalty is decided by law,” stated Judge Robert Linford.

“The punishment is life imprisonment, and the only issue is the minimum period I will inflict.”

Due to the guilty plea, prosecutors have informed the court that they would not seek a trial on a kidnapping allegation.

Bobbi-body Anne’s was discovered when Ackland stepped into a police station and confessed his crime.

She was discovered in the woods along a route that connects the military sites of Fort Staddon and Fort Bovisand.

Her death remains a mystery, despite the fact that an inquest in December heard that a medical cause of death had not yet been “ascertained.”

Following her abduction by total stranger Ackland, chilling facts of Bobbi-final Anne’s voyage surfaced.

On November 20, she left her house at 6 p.m. to meet lover Louie Leach.

The adolescent was last spotted 15 minutes later at a nearby bus station, wearing headphones and carrying a packet of tobacco, which was later located on nearby grass.

FINAL MOMENTS

Louie had waited for the adolescent to arrive but had raised the alarm when she failed to appear.

“She was supposed to meet him at the moment,” his mother Adele subsequently told The Sun.

“Louie was waiting for her at home.”

Officers initially refused to divulge whether Bobbi-Anne was kidnapped from the bus stop or freely went with her murderer.

However, as they searched Ackland’s nearby home, they discovered she had been abducted by a stranger.
