Prince William and Kate Middleton intend to relocate to Windsor this summer in order to be closer to the Queen

PRINCE William and Kate plan to relocate to Windsor as soon as this summer in order to be closer to the Queen.

The Cambridges are claimed to have visited many royal residences in Windsor, including Prince Andrew’s Royal Lodge, but he has refused to move.

The couple, who live in Norfolk and Kensington Palace, are now hunting for private residences.

Kate, 40, and Wills, 39, have ruled out staying in Fort Belvedere, which was the home to King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson and is located on the outskirts of Windsor Great Park.

According to sources, they also considered Frogmore House, where they frequently take their children, George, eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, to play on weekends.

There were even rumours that the couple may buy Adelaide Cottage, which is located in the shadow of Windsor Castle, although it is now occupied.

In addition, royal insiders have denied that the newlyweds would have lodgings in Windsor Castle.

It comes as there are concerns that disgraced Prince Andrew is becoming too close to the Queen.

In January, Prince William and his father, Prince Charles, petitioned the Queen to divest the Duke of York, 62, of his patronages and military ties in the wake of his sex abuse scandal.

The Queen’s decision to allow him to escort her into Westminster Abbey last week for Prince Philip’s memorial generated even more “consternation.”
