Olympian Nicola Adams and her model girlfriend Ella Baig have announced their pregnancy with a son.

The 39-year-old athlete and her 24-year-old girlfriend, who have been together for four years, are expecting a child after completing their fourth round of IVF therapy, which began in 2019.

In an interview with Hello magazine, Nicola, the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing, swore that the duo would not’reinforce gender stereotypes.’

‘It’s very cool,’ she remarked. I’m excited, pleased, frightened, and unsure of what to anticipate.

‘All of my friends had boys, so when I found out, I was like, “Yes!” It is great to finally have a child on the way. ‘In the end, all of the ups and downs were worthwhile.’

Ella, a model and influencer, miscarried following the couple’s first round of IVF therapy because she had an underactive thyroid, which may ‘dramatically damage’ a healthy pregnancy, the couple previously stated.

‘I believe it’s safe to say the baby is a warrior,’ Ella remarked. It’s clear that this is a very active infant.

‘I started feeling kicks at 17 weeks and everytime we went for a scan, I don’t know what it was doing, maybe backflips.’

‘I can feel it moving in my tummy right now.’ ‘I hope our tale brings hope to other couples in our situation.’

The pair revealed the gender using a blue and pink paint splashed canvas before peeling down vinyl lettering to reveal the words, ‘It’s a boy!’

Ella elaborated on her gender reveal concept, saying, ‘Being a member of the LGBTQ community, I am aware of the challenges surrounding gender reveals, since they sometimes reinforce gender stereotypes.’

The couple announced their pregnancy in a combined Instagram post that included photographs of them kissing and an ultrasound imaging.

Athlete Nicola stated that the pair had been attempting to conceive for three years via IVF.

She was able to pregnant Ella with the aid of a sperm donor since she had frozen her eggs during her stint as an outstanding athlete.
