Meghan Markle has access to some exquisite jewellery after marrying Prince Harry and functioning as a member of the Royal Family.

Even though she’s left the Firm, she still wears things that belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Meghan, on the other hand, had a very precious piece of jewellery in her collection long before she met Harry, which she had set aside for her daughter Lilibet – a stunning Cartier watch.

Meghan’s sentimental gift is only ten years old, as it was given to her after her hit television programme, Suits, was renewed for a third season in 2012.

Speaking to a Magazine, Meghan explained: “I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch.

“When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which at the time felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.”

She even had a personalised message engraved on the watch: ‘To MM from MM.’

Meghan had always planned for the piece, which is a symbol of her professional accomplishment, to be passed down to her children.

She explained: “I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes a piece special – the connection you have to them.”

Lilibet was born in California in June and her parents have yet to bring her to the United Kingdom to meet her royal relations.

One royal relative, however, has travelled to the United States to see Harry and Meghan and their children.

In February, Princess Eugenie was sighted with Harry during the Super Bowl, making her the first royal to meet him in the United States.

Eugenie was entertained by Harry and Meghan Markle at their nine-bedroom property in Montecito, according to the Telegraph.

And if that’s the case, she’ll very certainly have met Lilibet, making her the first royal to meet the now nine-month-old.
