Chelsie Whibley dies at age 30

Chelsie Whibley dies at age 30

Chelsie Whibley, the “beautiful” actress from CBBC, died after a lengthy struggle with cystic fibrosis, according to her family.

Chelsie, 30, died of cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease that causes sticky mucus to accumulate in the lungs and digestive tract.

The former actress, who was from Denmead in Hants, was transported to Southampton General Hospital and died at 2.45 p.m. yesterday.

Glyn, her bereft husband, has paid homage to his wife, describing her as the “total joy of my life.”

“I’m afraid this is the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to write,” Glyn said.

“Chelsie’s condition quickly deteriorated this morning, and she became unresponsive. She was sent to Southampton General Hospital in a critical condition.

“It is with great sadness that I must notify everyone that our darling lovely Chelsie went away at 2.45 p.m. today.”

“It happened quickly, and she was in no discomfort.” I know you’ll all want to convey your sympathies, but we ask that you keep them to the comments section in this difficult time.

“To my gorgeous inspiration wife we will love you always.”

Chelsie had been placed on an indefinite quarantine since she was at such a high risk of being extremely ill as a result of Covid-19.

She earlier told that she wished for the lockdown to be removed so that she could see her family again.

“It feels like time is being stolen away from me even more. It’s beyond words heartbreaking.

“I understand that visiting my friends and family is very risky, and that it might push my body over the brink.

“On the other hand, I don’t know how much time I have, and I’m heartbroken that I won’t be able to see them.”

“I adore them all, and all I want to do is be with them because I know I don’t have much longer.”

“I have a month-old nephew who I haven’t met yet, and I’m afraid I won’t.”

“I’m afraid I won’t have enough time to spend with my nieces and nephews, and they won’t know who I am.”

Her extensively damaged lungs were no longer operable and only functioned at 25%, requiring her to take a daily cocktail of 60 medicines.

After her specialised hospital unit was handed over to coronavirus patients, Chelsie had to undertake extensive intravenous therapy at home.

Before her promising career was cut short at the age of 20, she featured in CBBC programmes Dani’s House and Sadie J, as well as in panto with House of Cards actor Kate Mara.
