Former opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif has termed the dissolution of the national assembly (NA) as a form of ‘high treason’.
He shared this on Twitter after President Arif Alvi dissolved the NA on the advice of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shehbaz Sharif said, “IK has pushed the country into anarchy. Niazi & his cohort will not be allowed to go scot-free.”
It is nothing short of a high treason. IK has pushed the country into anarchy. Niazi & his cohort will not be allowed to go scot-free. There will be consequences for blatant & brazen violation of the Constitution. Hope SC will play it’s role to uphold the Constitution.

“There will be consequences for blatant & brazen violation of the Constitution,” the former opposition leader warned.

He expressed hope that the Supreme Court (SC) will play its role to uphold the constitution.
