Princess Charlotte has a tender moment with Mia Tindall as the young royals attend the Philip funeral service

Some of the Royal Family’s youngest members paid homage to their late great-grandfather Prince Philip during his funeral ceremony today.

They featured Prince George and Princess Charlotte of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Zara and Mike Tindall’s oldest daughter Mia Tindall.

After the memorial ceremony for Philip’s life concluded, Charlotte and Mia were seen sharing a nice moment together as they recognised each other in the Abbey.

Charlotte caught Beatrice’s attention as she looked around the massive structure while the crowd sang a hymn.

The duo then shared adorable smiles before returning to singing the song.

The Queen led the young royals to the funeral, arriving arm-in-arm with her son Prince Andrew to pay her final respect to her beloved husband Prince Philip, despite worries she wouldn’t be able to attend due to health issues.

The Queen, dressed in a dark green cloak, took her place in the front row of the crowded abbey, close to Prince Charles and Camilla.

The Queen only decided to attend this morning, and extraordinary provisions have been made for her comfort.

The queen sat on one of the Canada chairs, albeit with an extra cushion, throughout the 40-minute service.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, as well as their children Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn, were among the other royals present.

The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as well as Peter Phillips and his daughters Savannah and Isla, were among those in attendance.

The remainder of the royal guests were Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
