Princess Charlotte is ‘following in the Queen’s footsteps’ by pursuing her favourite activity

The Queen has always enjoyed horseback riding since she was a young child.

She used to go horseback riding on a daily basis, loving her time with her horses in the fresh air.

Princess Charlotte, her great-granddaughter, looks to be following in her footsteps, apparently taking up the activity with her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis.

The three are believed to have become’avid riders,’ prancing around on their first horses.

During last year’s lockdown, they are said to have been honing their riding talents at their Norfolk mansion, Amner Hall.

Dad After learning to bike as a youngster, Prince William is claimed to be ‘thrilled’ that his children are taking up the activity.

The Queen has long been recognised for her love of horses, having had her first riding lesson when she was three years old.

She previously chose eight particular horses that she and her family have enjoyed riding and watching, as well as five of the most memorable racehorses of all time that she bred and owned.

Her selections included paying respect to her late father George VI on Aureole, a horse she inherited from the King, and the moment her daughter Princess Anne won the European Eventing Championships on Doublet, a horse bred by Her Majesty.

The queen also picked the racehorse Estimate, who won the Ascot Gold Cup, making her the first monarch to do so.

Following a bout of illness, the Queen was advised to discontinue horseback riding for at least six months in October of last year.
