In the recent turn of events Sri Lanka have witnessed a 36 hours curfew from today, many economists say the crisis which Sri Lankans are facing right now are due to the bad policies of the president and the government. Years of borrowing and loans, ill advised tax cuts and the impact of covid on the economy is the reason for this condition.
The lockdown will go into effect at dusk Saturday and be lifted on Monday morning, police said — a period that covers planned mass anti-government protests against worsening shortages of fuel, food and medicines.
