Man walks his dog with a long leash from the third floor in Shanghai lockdown

In this video, a guy dropping his dog with a long leash from the window of his 3rd-floor flat has gone viral. The guy uses an extended leash with ropes linked to it after carefully lowering the dog to the ground so that the dog may go around and do his business. After the dog has completed his task, the guy pulls him up in the same manner.

During the second round of the lockdown, which began on Friday in the western part of China’s largest metropolis and financial centre, some 16 million inhabitants in Shanghai are being tested for COVID-19.

Shanghai is being shut down in two parts over the course of eight days to allow for population testing. Residents in Shanghai’s eastern districts who were meant to be released after four days of isolation have been notified that if COVID-19 cases are discovered in their homes, their lockdowns may be prolonged.

Residents of Puxi, on the west bank of the Huangpu River, which divides Shanghai, will be unable to leave their neighbourhoods or housing compounds for four days starting Friday. Some complexes’ gates were shut from the outside, and food and meals were brought to designated collecting locations.

Below is a link to a video that has gone viral:

After watching the footage, many users were upset, claiming that the dog may have been injured by the ledge and that the man could have just taken him out by himself. However, it is unknown if the individual is COVID positive and imprisoned inside his home, or whether the police have sealed his complex from the outside. Many Twitter users retweeted the video.
