Jim Carrey was chastised for allegedly sexually abusing’ Alicia Silverstone when she was 19 years old after pulling Will Smith’s Oscars jacket

JIM CARREY is accused of “sexually abusing” Alicia Silverstone when she was just 19 years old.

The 60-year-old comedian kissed the then-teenage actress on the lips while winning his Best Comedic Performance award at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards.

Jim’s previous deeds have emerged online after he called Will Smith “sickening” for hitting Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars on Sunday.

A video showed Jim, then 35, stepping up to the stage to take the award from Alicia, who had presented it, for his part in Cable Guy.

He grabbed the Clueless star’s face with both hands and kissed her on the lips.

They then parted ways, and Alicia, now 45, took an uncomfortable step to the side, appearing frightened.

Jim burped after reciting lyrics from George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ song Bad to the Bone into the microphone during his speech.

Later that night, at the same awards presentation, he attempted to kiss Will, 53, after he was named the winner of the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Kiss.

Will chuckled and pushed Jim aside as he made his way to the platform to get his award.

Critics slammed Jim as a “hypocrite” and “scumbag” for calling Will out after he had “sexually abused” Alicia onstage.

“In that scenario, Jim Carrey should be arrested for sexually attacking a teenage Alicia Silverstone on stage at the 1997 MTV Awards, and then for attempting to sexually assault Will Smith at the same awards event,” one person said.

Another was added: “It’s incredible that Jim Carrey sexually attacked Alicia Silverstone on public television by physically forcing her to kiss him and it had no effect on his career at all.

“On so many levels, he’s a total piece of s**t.”

A third was posted: “He forcibly kissed Alicia Silverstone and also attempted to kiss Will Smith.

“What Jim Carrey did was ASSAULT, regardless of age or age gaps; he’s trash, and he had no business forcing himself on others!”

CONDEMNING WILL

The outrage came only days after Jim denounced Will’s smack on Gayle King, a Good Morning America correspondent.

During the virtual conversation, the Ace Ventura star added, “I was horrified, I was sickened by the standing ovation.”

“I had the impression that Hollywood as a whole is spineless. It felt like a clear indicator that we were no longer the cool club.”

Gayle then addressed the viewers’ worries about how the scenario unfolded and why security did not act.

The LAPD eventually announced that Chris would not seek charges in the issue, despite Jim’s belief that Will should be punished.

“He doesn’t want to deal with the trouble.” I would have announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200 million since that footage will be available in perpetuity. “It’s going to be everywhere,” Jim said.

“You know, that insult is going to stick with you for a long time.” If you want to shout from the crowd, demonstrate your disagreement, or post anything on Twitter, you can do so.

“You don’t have the right to get up on stage and punch someone in the face just because they said something.”

SHOCKING SLAP

Will, 53, stunned the Oscars crowd and viewers when he smacked Chris for making a joke about his wife Jada’s shaved head.

“Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can’t wait to watch it,” the standup comic said, referring to Jada’s shaved head.

Jada Pinkett-Smith, who announced in 2018 that she suffers from the hair loss disorder alopecia, rolled her eyes at the joke and appeared distressed, prompting Will to intervene.

Stars including Nicole Kidman and Lupita Nyong’o were stunned when he stormed the stage and smacked the presenter across the face.

“Will Smith just knocked the s**t out of me,” a surprised Chris stated as he walked back to his seat.

“Leave my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth,” Will raged at the comic.

“Wow, guy, it was a G.I. Jane joke,” Chris responded, to which Will replied, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king lips!”

“I’m going to, okay?” Chris said. before adding, “That was the… best night in television history.”

Chris is thought to have not talked to Will since the event.

Will ultimately apologised to Chris nearly a day later, calling his behaviour “inappropriate and unforgivable.”

Reps for the Oscars disclosed on March 30 to the Hollywood Reporter that “disciplinary hearings” into the on-stage incident involving Will had commenced.
