Watch Video: A boxer bites his opponent and the referee refuses to disqualify him

Boxer Bites

Fans and onlookers were surprised when boxer Nicolas Pablo Demario was not penalised after biting his opponent Josue Vargas during a match, according to Lad Bible.

Demario and Vargas competed in a match at Resorts World in Las Vegas on Saturday.

While the match had been going well from the start, this unexpected incident occurred in the fifth round. Vargas bit Demario’s shoulder while he was still holding him.

The boxer was not disqualified, much to the surprise of the audience. Despite the fact that biting is strictly prohibited, only one point was deducted from his score. Fighters have previously faced the consequences of such actions.

On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Points deducted? Should be disqualified and banned. Kash Ali received a 6-month ban and a possible fine for the same, if I recall correctly.”
