Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) sources told Bol News on Tuesday that PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim cannot be arrested on his return to Pakistan as he has obtained protective bail in the Nazim Jokhio murder case.

PPP MNA, who is the prime suspect in the murder case, is expected to land at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) from Dubai at 7pm.

The lawmaker is returning to Pakistan to cast his vote in the no-confidence voting against Prime Minister Imran Khan. Karim had obtained protective bail from Sindh High Court (SHC) which is valid till April 3.

Sources in FIA said that a suspect cannot be apprehended as long as he is on bail. However, they added that the lawmaker would have to show related documents at the airport.

Meanwhile, sources have reported that the government has approved putting the names of all suspects in the Nazim Jokhio murder case on the exit control list (ECL).

The summary in this regard was approved by the federal cabinet through circulation after it was sent by the interior ministry.

While talking to Bol News, PPP sources also confirmed that their MNA will reach Karachi today.
