ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has urged the political parties to organise their public gatherings at designated places and ensure no hurdle in movement of residents of the federal capital.
This he stated while chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review arrangements for public rallies of political parties being organised in the federal capital.
The meeting also decided to bring additional force from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for support of Islamabad Police.
Additional troops of Ranges and Frontier Corps will also be deployed to ensure law and order in the federal capital.

A control room will be established at the Interior Ministry for the security of political gatherings.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Sheikh Rashid strongly condemned infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists from Afghanistan into Pakistani territory in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan.
The minister paid rich tribute to the security forces for foiling the infiltration attempt by the terrorists, said a statement issued here Friday. He also saluted the sacrifices of personnel of armed forces.
He said, “We were proud of our armed forces for foiling such terrorist attacks.”
He also prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls of martyred soldiers in eternal peace and grant solace to the bereaved families.
