Dogsitter, 22, was bitten 800 times in a dog attack, revealing horrific injuries

A dogsitter has revealed the serious injuries she sustained after being bitten 800 times by a vicious dog.

Jacqueline Durand had only a few days before her 22nd birthday when she was mauled by two dogs in Coppell, Texas, last December.

She was placed in a medically induced coma and had skin protruding from her face.

Jacqueline has now spoken out about her ordeal after being attacked by the German Shepard and Boxer-Pitbull mix she was dog-sitting.

The dogs attacked her as she opened the door, and she was bitten over 800 times.

She was taken to the hospital’s trauma ward.

When asked why the first responders didn’t shoot the dogs sooner to save Jacqueline, they said it was because they “could only see [her] legs and were not immediately aware of the extent of her injuries.”

Bodycam footage shows Jacqueline yelling for help as the officers are kept at bay by the dogs.

She has now courageously disclosed the extent of her injuries.

“I can’t be afraid of it,” she told CBS.

“After every meet and greet I had, I always felt the same with those other dogs, and their attitude doesn’t change from the time I met them to the time I go there for the first time,” she added.

She is now urging dog owners to “know their animals and be able to communicate with their sitters how they are.”

The heartbroken owners said in a statement to CBS that they would “never knowingly put anyone in harm’s way, and were shocked by what happened at [their] home.”

However, Jacqueline’s family lawyer argues a warning sign on the front door suggests otherwise.
