This is the moment brave shoppers stepped in and dragged a suspected rapist away from a woman in a supermarket aisle.

Customers restrained Bredan Harvey, 28, after he attempted to pounce on a woman while she was shopping in a Walmart in Miami, US.

One man in green shorts drops his belongings before running over to the commotion, while the suspect in a white t-shirt tries to flee.

Two men apprehend the man in the white t-shirt who tussles with them and tries to break free down another aisle.

As the chaos continues, other shoppers can be heard shouting “get off,” “hurry up,” and “why you trying to rape her.”

Harvey, of Miami, allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and ripped her underwear off.

According to The Sun, Harvey was already on probation when he allegedly attacked in the shop.

Mikaila Carroll, a regular customer at the Miami store, stated: “That is extremely dangerous.

“I’d go to a Walmart to get groceries.

“Just for someone to come up to me, not thinking that someone is going to come up to me, touch me, it’s scary as a female as well.””

Kayla Carter, another shopper, told Local10, “I don’t even know what to say, I’m at a loss for words.”

“Where is the protection?” she asked. It’s a shame, it’s a shame that there are children and families who come here.”

There was little information provided about the two witnesses who allegedly saw the commotion and jumped in to help the victim.

Harvey has been ordered by the judge to have no contact with the victim and to stay away from Walmart, and his bond has been set at $50,000.
