Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and heir apparent to the British throne, has described Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “brutal aggression” and offered his sympathy for the war-torn people in their current plight.
The Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have began the public leg of their recent visit to Ireland.
During a visit to Waterford City, the future king stated that many people’s thoughts and prayers are with those in Ukraine, and he expressed admiration for all who are supporting them.
During his remarks at a City Hall reception, Prince Charles mentioned how happy he and Camilla were to be back in Ireland. He stated, “a country that means more to us than I could possibly say.”
He discussed the “unimaginable” events of the last two years since the pandemic began, as well as the current situation in Ukraine.
