A royal analyst claims that if the Megxit saga had not occurred, Prince Harry and bride Meghan Markle would have gone to the Caribbean instead of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to Express UK, before walking out on the firm in early 2020, both Harry and Meghan were intended to play a big part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities as senior members of the royal family.
Dr. Ed Owens, a royal historian, told the publication that Prince Harry and Meghan would have been an excellent pick for the Caribbean visit.

He said, “The question I supposed that might have been asked is, if Harry and Meghan were still part of the group, would they be the ones on the tour to the Caribbean? Well, probably. Simply because Harry had built a good rapport already with Caribbean countries.”
“And Meghan is much better known in that part of the world,” he added.
According to the commentator, both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex piqued the curiosity of younger generations, which would have fulfilled the goal of the tour much better.
Dr. Owens further stated that Meghan’s departure from the royal family was a greater loss to the monarchy because she could have appealed to more people all around the world.
