PRINCE During his visit to the Caribbean to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, William is expected to address the issue of slavery.
On their arrival in Kingston, Jamaica, William and Kate were met by protestors who denounced the royal visit and demanded reparations for slavery, as well as the removal of the Queen as the country’s Head of State.
According to a royal source, the Duke was aware of the protests and was expected to address the issue of slavery in a speech tonight at a dinner hosted by Jamaica’s Governor-General.
“Kate and William are beneficiaries, so they are, in fact, complicit because they are positioned to benefit specifically from our ancestors, and we are not benefiting,” said Opal Adisa, a Jamaican human rights activist.
