MILEY Cyrus’ private jet had to make an emergency landing after being struck by lightning during a “major” electrical storm.
Friends and family of the Wrecking Ball singer could be heard gasping as she filmed the sky lighting up through the plane window.

The aircraft’s body was scorched and damaged as a result of the strike.
“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción,” Miley wrote on Instagram. Our plane was caught in a severe thunderstorm and struck by lightning.
“After an emergency landing, my crew, band, friends, and family who were all travelling with me are all safe.” Unfortunately, we were unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”
Fashion brand Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott commented: “Thank God you are all safe.”
Meanwhile, a superfan stated: “Miley, we adore you. I’m relieved that everyone is safe.”
Miley is currently on the South American leg of her Mileyworld tour, with her most recent performance taking place in Bogota, Colombia.
She performed in front of a raucous crowd at the city’s Movistar Arena.
Photos from the performance show her wearing a black cat suit and exposing her midriff.
In her career-spanning sets, the crowd-pleasing star has even performed songs from her Hannah Montana era.
She even said “f**k Nick Jonas” on stage in Argentina before launching into her old breakup anthem 7 Things, which she wrote after her split from the singer.
She quickly clarified, however, that she was simply reading from a fan’s sign in the crowd.
Her next performance will be at the massive Lollapalooza festival in Brazil on Saturday.
