My evil ex-husband FAKED a DNA test in order to gain sole custody of our daughter – it could happen to anyone

My evil ex-husband FAKED a DNA test in order to gain sole custody of our daughter – it could happen to anyone

A DAD has revealed how his twisted ex tried to dupe him with a bogus DNA test in an outrageous attempt to claim their daughter wasn’t his.

Michael Brown, 45, claimed his ex-girlfriend Laura Jackson emailed him the erroneous results nine months after their three-year-old daughter was born.

They appeared to be from a professional genetics company, and were accompanied by a message from Ms Jackson – formerly Ms French – that read: “Michael, you have no rights over her.”

“It has been established that you are not her father.”

The report, which has since been proven false, stated that there was a 99.9996 percent chance that another man, ‘Callum Jack,’ was the father of Michael’s child.

But Michael, of Basingstoke, Hants, had never heard of him, and after a gruelling legal battle for joint custody of his daughter, he sensed something wasn’t right.

“I didn’t believe it,” he told the Sun Online.

“There was a tiny chance it was true but I just thought, I’m going to have to fight this now.

“I thought, I’ve got to tell my children they might not have a little sister any more.”

He added: “My heart sank – I knew from that moment on I was not going to be able to see my daughter.”

The alleged DNA report appeared to be signed off on by three PhD professors, but there was no mention of Michael on the form.

And the father-of-six, who had been in a “turbulent” on-again, off-again relationship with Ms Jackson, 31, for about two years, had no reason to believe his ex had ever been involved with the other man listed.

“I did a little more research and discovered it was simply a DNA report that you can order online,” he explained.

“You just tell them, ‘I want these names on there,’ and an hour later you get a report.”

“It’s truly abhorrent. I was astounded that she would do such a thing.”

Michael took the matter to family court after making the shocking discovery.

He was then forced to take a DNA test approved by the court.

Michael was found to be 99.999 percent likely to be his daughter’s paternal father after sending off his swabs and anxiously awaiting the results.

Ms Jackson pleaded guilty to two counts of perverting the course of public justice by committing an act or series of acts with the intent to pervert the course of justice, namely giving a false account in a police interview and giving a false account under oath.

In February of this year, the mother of three was sentenced to 12 months in prison at Winchester Crown Court, three years after she gave Michael the forged results.
