Meghan Markle and Prince Harry makes Charities in Ukraine

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed that they had donated an undisclosed donation to various organisations trying to offer help in Ukraine as the country battles a Russian invasion.

The announcement comes just one day after a Ukrainian athlete who had competed in Harry’s Invictus Games was killed in the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Serhii Karaivan’s death was confirmed by both Harry and Meghan in an official statement made on Friday by their organisation, Archewell.

They also revealed in their statement that they had donated to various organisations, including The Halo Trust, a landmine removal charity, and HIAS, an international organisation that assists refugees.

They also mentioned that they had donated to “a coalition of domestic media such as Kyiv Independent, supported through Are We Europe.”

Earlier, during their acceptance speech at the NAACP Image Awards, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to the Ukrainian cause.
