LAHORE: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) and Ecommerce Gateway conducted the inaugural ceremony of PTCL Business Solutions ITCN Asia-Pakistan Tech Festival at Expo Centre, Lahore.
According to a statement, Consul General of China in Pakistan Peng Zhengwu while inaugurating the festival, appreciated the IT products being developed in Pakistan.
He said that in the digital era where innovation and technology serve as the primary vehicle of sustainable and robust development, Pakistan is eager to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation with China in quantum computing, robotics, AI, Cloud, and Big Data.
He also appraised the service portfolio of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Ufone and “Made in Pakistan” on various products. He wrote “Masha Allah Pakistan” on the comment wall which was placed at the festival.
PCJCCI Senior Vice President Ehsan Choudhry said that this exhibition is an opportunity for the entire technology ecosystem of Pakistan along with the leaders from the public and private sectors to gather under one roof to exchange their diverse thoughts and contemporary ideas with each other.
Ecommerce Gateway Vice President Farhan Anis said that various companies participated in this exhibition which include Netsol, System Pvt. LTD, PITB Incubation Wing, Samsung, Lenovo etc.
Around 200 international brands with a focus on Business Solutions, Cloud Solutions, Fintech, Enterprise Solutions, Ecommerce, Digital Governance, Edtech, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), along with 25,000 foreign visitors participated in this tech festival.
PCJCCI Secretary General Salahuddin Hanif said that the PCJCCI has always emphasised upon regional connectivity and promotion of bilateral trade. Such exhibitions and festivals should be conducted on a regular basis to enhance the technological advancement in Pakistan.
