After posing with a newborn baby, HOLLYOAKS fans assumed Nadine Mulkerrin had given birth early.

The 28-year-old Cleo McQueen actress isn’t due until May, but the congratulations haven’t stopped pouring in.

One fan wrote: “Beautiful didn’t know you had baby yet congratulations.”

However, many others pointed out that she had not in fact given birth, with one posting: “So awkward this is 🙉! it IS NOT her baby guys x.”

Another told the star: “You would like to think that the people who follow you are genuine fans. But the fact they don’t even realise this is not your baby is beggars belief lol. So embarrassing 🙈.”

A third insisted: “Shes not due til May! Its not her baby! 🤦🏽‍♀️.”

Eventually, there were so many congratulations that the actress had to post a clarification herself.

“Guys this is my niece i’m still over here heavily pregnant lol,” she wrote.

“hahah I did think wow you had that quick lol cx,” one fan responded.

The commotion began when Nadine shared a photo of her three-year-old son Reggie holding a newborn and captioned it, “A weekend of meeting Beau Blue.”

She then clarified things by posting a photo with the caption “cousin love” and clearly showing her pregnancy.

Nadine and Rory Douglas Speed, who met on Hollyoaks, announced in December that they are expecting their second child together.

In front of the family’s Christmas tree, son Reggie was seen holding a picture of her ultrasound.

“This better not be my only gift, mum,” she jokingly captioned it from Reggie.

Nadine and Rory, who met on the set of the Channel 4 soap, made their relationship public in November 2017.

They married a year later on a romantic trip to Amsterdam, and they welcomed their son into the world in October 2019.
