Meghan signs voiceover deal with Disney as Prince Harry touted wife’s interest in this work

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle signs a voiceover deal with Disney to benefit the wildlife conservation charity Elephants without Borders.

Meghan reportedly recorded the voiceover for Disney before she left for her six-week holiday break in Canada.

Karey Burke, the president of ABC Entertainment hinted at the news last week during an interview.

“We have an office waiting for them in the animation studios building should they be looking to produce television,” she said. .

ABC is, of course, a division of The Walt Disney Company, Burke said.

Just three months before Meghan Markle recorded a voiceover for an upcoming Disney project, husband, Prince Harry, may have buttonholed the head of the entertainment company at a London premiere to ask she be considered for the job.

Harry, Meghan, and Disney CEO Bob Iger were together on the red carpet for London’s Lion King Premiere when an onlooker was able to catch the conversation on tape.

The Duke of Sussex collared the Disney chief and apparently touted his former actress wife’s interest in voiceover work.

“Ah, I did not know that,” Iger was taped saying. “You seem surprised,” Harry responded. “She’s really interested.”

Iger replied, “We’d love to try. That’s a great idea.”
