KARACHI: Indonesian Consul General in Karachi Dr June Kuncoro has invited Pakistani industrialists to visit Indonesia for promoting bilateral trade, saying that the Pakistani business and industrial community should take advantage of the opportunities available in Indonesia, a statement said.
A forum called Pakistan-Indonesia already exists and is providing its services, he said.
Addressing a meeting at the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (Nkati), the consul general said that palm oil is one of the leading products that Indonesia provides to Pakistan.
Over the past 24 years, Pakistan-Indonesia exports have grown at an annual rate of 12.6 per cent and the relationship between the two countries in various sectors of the economy has been steadily strengthening.
Nkati president Faisal Moiz Khan, senior vice president Shabir Ismail, vice president Naeem Haider, Diplomatic Affairs Committee chairman Asfar Hussain, NKIDMC chief executive officer Sadiq Mohammad and members of the managing committee were also present on the occasion.
Faisal Moiz Khan welcomed the Indonesian consul general, and said that Pakistan and Indonesia have good economic and bilateral trade relations, and the Pakistani business community wants to further strengthen them, especially for the industrialists of North Karachi Industrial Area.
