LAHORE: At least 11 prisoners brought from Kot Lakhpat Jail and Camp Jail flee away when brought to Model Town Katcheri, confirmed police sources.
The initial report on the case has been sent to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
According to reports, as many as 90 suspects from Kotlakhpat and 76 from Camp Jail were brought to Model Town court. Three from Kot Lakhpat and eight from Camp Jail flee after creating a ruckus at the court by attacking police officials through stones and bricks.
The suspects who managed to escape include Haider Ali, Faisal, Ahmed, Javed, Waseem, Shabaan, Pervaiz, Ayan, Adil, Sohail and Ahsan.
The local police officials have started to investigate the case and have decided to take strict action against the officials responsible for this negligence.
