Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza have a new venture up their sleeves – and it has a lot to do with talking! The Shoaib & Sania Show, a chat show, will debut on Pakistan’s first OTT platform UrduFlix.
The beautiful couple, who also launched their own perfumes – All Rounder and Smash – last month in collaboration with a Pakistani fragrance brand.
The chat show, to premiere on Pakistan’s first streaming platform Urduflix. It appears to be an entertaining chat show on UrduFlix, featuring their celebrity friends from Pakistan and India.
Speaking to media Sania said “We’re always open to doing new things. At this stage of our lives and our careers we’ve been doing what we do for a very long time and we’ve reached a stage where we would love to explore new things as well.
Obviously we’ve done a lot of things together in terms of shoots but this is something that we’ve never done before so we thought it would be a good opportunity to learn and do something new and I guess to do it together is a lot of fun.”
“Dubai is a great mid-ground as we are trying to get guests from both the countries. We are from different countries and that puts us in a unique position of representing our own countries and what we do. It’s a great way to bring people together across the borders. It will appeal to everybody,” said Mirza.
“We are joining forces here and our show will have an element of fun and games in it. It will show friendship and chemistry and we promise it will be fun to watch,” Sania added.
When asked if they could reveal the the guests of their show who have been invited, they claimed that such details were still being discussed and finalized.
Shoaib Malik was also present in the press conference. He said “It’s going to be great fun for me. I’ve done some shows, but it was only on a social media platform and all those shows were with my friends. I had so much fun while doing them, and a lot of people have enjoyed it also. I always wanted to do a show from the studio and that’s what is going to happen and it’s going to be a great experience.
And doing it with my wife… we’re more like friends… so..”
Internationally acclaimed digital network, Emax Media is planning to launch Pakistan’s first ever Urdu OTT platform, UrduFlix, providing original and exclusive content for viewers worldwide.
The OTT platform will provide access to a wide variety of content in Urdu which includes movies, drama serials, documentaries and even some dubbed titles from Turkey.
