According to a statement released by the company, the online tax filing portal Befiler will launch an easy-to-use digital tax filing technique with Karandaaz support, with the goal of assisting Pakistani women in the process.

Working women in Pakistan will be able to file their tax returns digitally through this project, decreasing their reliance on male family members and the bother of attending in-person meetings with legal and tax consultants.

The CEO of Befiler Pakistan, Akbar Tejani said, “Befiler aims to facilitate women for tax filing in hopes to have a higher involvement from them in finance and tax matters”.

He continued “Through this exercise, we hope to give rise to opportunities for women to experience focused and directed marketing encouraging them to engage in the tax filing process,”

Befiler has won a grant from Karandaaz’s Digital Experiment Program after competing in a tough application procedure. The tax filing company now aims to use the grant to achieve its goals of making the tax filing process convenient and hassle-free for Pakistanis, especially women.

Karandaaz is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting small and medium-sized enterprises as well as individuals

Waqas ul Hasan expects that this program will help determine whether boosting women’s tax filing is feasible, resulting in more self-sufficiency and empowerment.
