ISLAMABAD: Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer, in the Noor Mukadam murder case, has filed an application before the court claiming that his client is not mentally sound.
The lawyer has also asked the court to form a medical board to determine whether Zahir is mentally stable or not. Zahir is accused of raping and killing Noor Mukadam, daughter of a former envoy of Pakistan.
Zahir’s lawyer has told the court that his client is not mentally sound that’s why he shouted various times in the courtroom due to which he was kicked out.

Zahir Jaffar was arrested on July 20 from his house where he allegedly killed Noor Mukadam with a sharp instrument and severed her head.
According to the first challan, a total of 12 individuals have been implicated in Noor’s murder.
Earlier in September, the Islamabad High Court directed the trial court to conclude the case within two months after framing the charge.
