KARACHI: The Sindh government on Monday decided to bring an ordinance to regularise illegal constructions of residential buildings located all across the province, sources informed Bol news.
As per details, the ordinance will call for a formulation of a commission that will decide the status of the residential projects. The commission will include a retired judge. The commission will regularise illegal constructions after imposing strict regulations and fines on the builders. The monetary penalty will be imposed in light of the socio-economic background of the area.

The ordinance after its passage from the cabinet will be sent to Sindh Governor Imran Ismail for approval.
The ordinance will be passed in the backdrop of Nasla Tower demolitions. The Supreme Court of Pakistan directed Commissioner Karachi to immediately commence the demolition of Nasla Tower located at the city’s Shahrah-e-Faisal and submit a report on the orders.
On June 16 this year the apex court had declared that the builder had encroached more land from the service road than the original 780 square yards he was allotted and had ordered to demolish the building
