A terrifying video of a massive crocodile savagely attacking and nearly killing a 68-year-old man has gone popular on social media. Unfortunately, took place on the man’s birthday while he was visiting the Amaya View amusement park in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

The man entered into a little poll inside the park to snap a picture with what he thought was a crocodile’s statue, according to a video uploaded on Facebook. However, it turned out to be a real 12-foot-long crocodile and he had a narrow escape from death.

A few seconds later, the crocodile attacks the man and tries to bite his arm off. Fortunately, he was able to release himself from the crocodile’s jaws and escape to safety. He was later observed being treated by park staff for his injuries.
