Fawad predicts PTI to win next polls

JHELUM: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday predicted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will win the next general election after completing its ongoing tenure.

Speaking at a public rally in his local constituency, the minister called the opposition leaders ‘political dwarfs’ and accused them of indulging in the politics of blackmail for their vested interests, adding that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party are reluctant to see next elections through Electronic Voting Machine (EVMs) because they are beneficiary of the current corrupt voting system.

Ït has been declared by the Supreme Court of Pakistan that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government in 1990 was formed because of rigging. They won the elections after getting support from the institutions,” he said. “They call for respect vote but they don’t feel ashamed in buying votes for Rs2,000.”

Taking a jibe at the PML-N leader, Maryam Nawaz, he said that rather than politics, she should start a business of videos. “The fake videos are released to blackmail institutions. And they are wrong to assume that they can blackmail Pakistan Army. The case is simple either they have to give the money trail, return looted wealth or go to jail.”

‘Imran Khan true federal leader’

The information minister said that the premier is the only true federal leader of Pakistan as the PML-N and PPP are restricted to Punjab and interior Sindh respectively. Ïmran Khan has voters in Gwadar, Jhelum, Peshawar, Sukkur, Karachi – in entire Pakistan. He is a true national leader, above ethnic-linguistic politics.

He blamed the opposition parties for the rising inflation because of their mis-governance in their respective tenures. “The fact of the matter is that today Imran Khan has complete control over Pakistani politics,” he said.
