Samsung is making available its One UI 4 software update available for the Galaxy S21 series starting today. The new update is based on Google’s new OS, Android 12. It brings new customizations, keyboard tweaks, and privacy settings.
All the features that are included in the One UI 4 are similar to that of the vanilla Android 12. One of the major features is Material-You overhaul which includes the ability to change the colour theme of the entire UI according to the wallpaper set. All new widgets are also introduced including the new clock widgets, Google Now widgets.
All new privacy-focused features are introduced in the new update, including the Privacy Dashboard that keeps the track of how often an app is requesting sensitive information. New indicators are also introduced that will prompt the user when an app is trying to use camera or location services.

Samsung Keyboard has also been revamped according to the Android 12 theme and features. It now offers more animated emojis and stickers.
The new update is currently limited to Samsung’s latest flagship series Samsung Galaxy S21. However, the company says it will be available soon for more devices including the older Galaxy S series, Galaxy Note series, Galaxy A series. They will also be made available on the company’s foldable phones and tablets.
