A big boa constrictor was discovered in the bushes outside a home in a Chicago neighborhood, and police are looking for its owner.
A gardener working behind a Niles home discovered the big snake moving behind a shrub, according to the Niles Police Department.
The snake was recognized as a boa constrictor by Sara Ruane, a snake expert at Chicago’s Field Museum. She believes the reptile was either a stray or a pet that had been abandoned by its owner.
The owner of the large snake is now being sought, according to police. A ball python was seen slithering beneath a vehicle at the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in neighboring Dupage County barely two weeks prior.
The two snake finds, according to authorities, are unrelated.
